| 5 | | Sec. 223. Electric vehicle charging stations. |
| 6 | | By January 1, 2016 or as soon thereafter as possible, the |
| 7 | | Department may provide for at least one electric vehicle |
| 8 | | charging station at each Interstate highway rest area where |
| 9 | | electrical service will reasonably permit and if these stations |
| 10 | | and charging user fees at these stations are allowed by federal |
| 11 | | regulations. |
| 12 | | The Department may adopt and publish specifications |
| 13 | | detailing the kind and type of electric vehicle charging |
| 14 | | station to be provided and may adopt rules governing the place |
| 15 | | of erection, user fees, and maintenance of electric vehicle |
| 16 | | charging stations.".
