| 12 | | political party shall not be permitted to nominate a candidate, |
| 13 | | either by caucus as provided for in this Section or as |
| 14 | | otherwise authorized by the Election Code, in the next upcoming |
| 15 | | consolidated election for any office for which a nomination |
| 16 | | could have been made at the caucus should the chairperson of |
| 17 | | the township central committee have met the requirements of |
| 18 | | this Section.

| 19 | | (b) Except as provided in this Section, the township board |
| 20 | | shall cause
notices of the caucuses to be published. The notice |
