| 1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Regional Planning Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 65 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 1707/65)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 65. Annual report. The Board shall prepare, publish, |
| 8 | | and distribute a concise annual report on the region's progress |
| 9 | | toward achieving its priorities and on the degree to which |
| 10 | | consistency exists between local and regional plans. Any other |
| 11 | | reports and plans that relate to the purpose of this Act may |
| 12 | | also be included. |
| 13 | | Within 30 days after the Governor's Budget Address to the |
| 14 | | General Assembly under the State Budget Law, the Commission on |
| 15 | | Government Forecasting and Accountability shall hold a public |
| 16 | | hearing to consider the report and its impact on the State |
| 17 | | budget. Notice of the public hearing shall be given at least 20 |
| 18 | | days prior to the hearing. Notice shall be given by public |
| 19 | | advertisement in a newspaper of
general circulation in the |
| 20 | | metropolitan region and state the date, time, and place of the |
| 21 | | hearing.
