| 1 | | AN ACT concerning finance.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Procurement of Domestic Products Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 10.5 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 517/10.5 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 10.5. American-made vehicles. All motor vehicles |
| 8 | | purchased, leased, or used by a State agency on or after the |
| 9 | | effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General |
| 10 | | Assembly shall have a Vehicle Identification Number that begins |
| 11 | | with the number one, the number 4, or the number 5. Nothing in |
| 12 | | this Section shall require a State agency to stop using any |
| 13 | | vehicle that exists in the State fleet of motor vehicles on the |
| 14 | | effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General |
| 15 | | Assembly.

| 16 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January |
| 17 | | 1, 2015.
