AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4157




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4157 on page 1, by 
3replacing lines 19 through 21 with the following:
 
4            "(i) the employer is not committed to hiring the"; 
5        and
 
6on page 2, line 1, by changing "(iii)" to "(ii)"; and
 
7on page 2, by replacing lines 4 through 9 with the following:


 
8            "(iii) the work performed:
9                (I) supplements training given in an 
10            educational environment that may enhance the 
11            employability of the intern;
12                (II) provides experience for the benefit of 
13            the person performing the work;
14                (III) does not displace regular employees;

1                (IV) is performed under the close supervision 
2            of existing staff; and
3                (V) provides no immediate advantage to the 
4            employer providing the training and may

5            occasionally impede the operations of the
