| 4 | | "Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 1-35 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 1-35. Virtual provider networks. No State agency may |
| 8 | | use a virtual provider network, or other remote means, to hire |
| 9 | | or otherwise conduct State-related business where confidential |
| 10 | | information of Illinois residents is used by employees working |
| 11 | | for businesses in other countries and doing business with the |
| 12 | | State of Illinois. For the purposes of this Section, |
| 13 | | "confidential information" includes, but is not limited to, |
| 14 | | social security numbers, healthcare information, and medical |
| 15 | | records.".
