|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 3.12 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (230 ILCS 5/3.12) (from Ch. 8, par. 37-3.12)

| 7 | | Sec. 3.12. Pari-mutuel system of
wagering.
"Pari-mutuel |
| 8 | | system of
wagering" means a form of wagering on the outcome of |
| 9 | | live or historical previously run
horse races in which
wagers |
| 10 | | are made in various
denominations on a horse or horses
and
all |
| 11 | | wagers for each race are pooled and held by a licensee
for |
| 12 | | distribution in a manner approved by the Board. Wagers may be |
| 13 | | placed via any method or at any location authorized under this |
| 14 | | Act.
