| 1 | | HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, During the 96th General Assembly, the School |
| 3 | | Success Task Force was established pursuant to House Joint |
| 4 | | Resolution 5 for the purpose of examining issues and making |
| 5 | | recommendations related to current State Board of Education |
| 6 | | policies regarding suspensions, expulsions, and truancies and |
| 7 | | identifying different strategies and approaches, promoting |
| 8 | | professional development and other learning opportunities, and |
| 9 | | supporting community-based organizations and parents; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Further work is needed on these issues; therefore, |
| 11 | | be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 13 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 14 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the School Success Task Force is |
| 15 | | extended; and be it further
|
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That the School Success Task Force shall submit a |
| 17 | | report, as established in its authorizing resolution, before |
| 18 | | July 1, 2013; and be it further
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the School |
| 20 | | Success Task Force shall continue to operate pursuant to its |
| 21 | | enabling resolution.
