| 2 | | WHEREAS, On the final day of the 2012 Spring Session, the |
| 3 | | Illinois House of Representatives of the 97th
General Assembly |
| 4 | | adopted House Resolution 1032, which created the Illinois Task |
| 5 | | Force on Gang Violence to study and analyze the recent increase |
| 6 | | in street gang violence in Illinois; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, House Resolution 1032 further directed that the |
| 8 | | findings of the Task Force be reported to the
General Assembly |
| 9 | | by January 1, 2013; this due date for the report is no longer |
| 10 | | workable given the scope
of the Task Force's responsibilities; |
| 11 | | therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 13 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 14 | | the Illinois Task Force on Gang Violence shall hold public |
| 15 | | hearings and shall
issue a report of its findings and |
| 16 | | recommendations to the General Assembly on or before May 1, |
| 17 | | 2013; and be it further

| 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Task Force is dissolved following the |
| 19 | | filing of its report; and be it further
|
| 20 | | RESOLVED, That, with this reporting extension, the Task |
| 21 | | Force shall operate pursuant to House
Resolution 1032 of the |
