HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Teutopolis 8th 
4grade girls basketball team, the Lady Wooden Shoes, on winning 
5the 8-3A State Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Lady Wooden Shoes defeated Monticello in the 
7championship with a final score of 32-13; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, In winning the State championship, the team broke 
9the State record for fewest points allowed in a championship 
10game with 13 points; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Lady Wooden Shoes finished their season with a 
1227-1 record; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Coaches of the Lady Wooden Shoes are Steve 
14Fritcher and Michael Buening; the team managers are Abbey 
15Hemmen and Lauren Siemer; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The members of the Lady Wooden Shoes are Zoe 
17Buhnerkempe, Jessica Drees, Reagan Drees, Lexie Kaufman, 
18Lauren Lustig, Jamie Sandschafer, Shelby Thompson, Ashley 
19Young, Sidney Brumleve, Lauren Hemmen, Marianna Hemmen, Macy 
20Michels, and Savannah Grimes; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the Teutopolis Lady Wooden Shoes 8th grade 
4girls basketball team on their impressive season and State 
5championship victory and wish them success and happiness in the 
6future; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Coach Steve Fritcher, Coach Michael Buening, and 
9the Teutopolis Lady Wooden Shoes as a symbol of our respect and 
10esteem.
