HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Fry Elementary School students Rachel Kelly, Nicholas Siodlarz, Mollie Valek, Dayton Melaniphy, and Luke Diefenderfer for their impressive performances in the InvestWrite program; and

WHEREAS, InvestWrite is an innovative national essay writing competition and a culminating activity of The Stock Market Game program run by the SIFMA Foundation; the competition provides financial education for people of all ages through innovative programs that promote financial independence; and

WHEREAS, Fry Elementary School student Rachel Kelly received the great distinction of being named First In Nation by the SIFMA Foundation for her essay; Nicholas Siodlarz received the distinction of Second In Nation, while Mollie Valek (5th place), Dayton Melaniphy (6th place), and Luke Diefenderfer (7th place) also performed well during the competition; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Kelly, Nicholas Siodlarz, Mollie Valek, Dayton Melaniphy, and Luke Diefenderfer will be presented with their awards during the InvestWrite National Award Ceremony on March 15, 2013 at Fry Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Kelly, Nicholas Siodlarz, Mollie Valek, Dayton Melaniphy, and Luke Diefenderfer serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Rachel Kelly, Nicholas Siodlarz, Mollie Valek, Dayton Melaniphy, and Luke Diefenderfer for their impressive performances in the InvestWrite program and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to Rachel Kelly, Nicholas Siodlarz, Mollie Valek, Dayton Melaniphy, and Luke Diefenderfer as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
