HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sister Thomas Leo 
4Monahan as she retires from her position as principal of 
5Visitation Parish Grade School after 40 years; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Sister Monahan joined the Michigan order of the 
7Adrian Dominicans in 1951; she began working at Visitation 
8Parish Grade School in Elmhurst in 1972 as a teacher and then 
9principal; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Sister Monahan is respected, loved, and admired by 
11the families of Visitation Parish Grade School and has mentored 
12and touched the lives of hundreds of teachers and thousands of 
13children and families; and
  
 

  
14    WHEREAS, Sister Monahan's 40 years of service as principal 
15to Visitation Parish Grade School will be celebrated at a 
16reception on April 28, 2013; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
19we congratulate Sister Monahan on the occasion of her 
20retirement as principal of Visitation Parish Grade School, 
21thank her for her commitment to her school and community, and
