HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Florence (nee 
4Gorman) Schaeffer on the occasion of her 90th birthday on June 
53, 2013; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Florence Schaeffer met her childhood sweetheart 
7on the playground of Lloyd School and roller-skated her way 
8into Joseph Schaeffer's heart for more than 60 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Florence Schaeffer has 5 children, JoAnne, Brad, 
10Karen, Liz, and Scot and 12 grandchildren and 8 
11great-grandchildren; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Florence Schaeffer has been a member of St. 
13Genevieve Catholic Church for more than 60 years; she is an 
14active member of the Friendship Club and has become quite a 
15social gambler in her golden years; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Florence Schaeffer has been employed as the chief 
17cook and bottle washer and babysitter extraordinaire of Parker 
18Avenue for more than 60 years; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Florence Schaeffer has always been an avid 
20supporter of many sports, but her heart will always remain true

1blue to the Chicago Cubs; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Florence Schaeffer will be surprised when 
3celebrating her 90th birthday  surrounded by family and friends; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we are pleased to congratulate Florence Schaeffer on the 
8occasion of her 90th birthday; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Florence Schaeffer as an expression of our esteem 
11and respect.
