HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of  James 
4Michael Sauter, who passed away on March 29, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Sauter grew up in the south suburbs of 
6Chicago and was a resident of Vernon Hills; he attended 
7Richards High School, where he played football and baseball; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Sauter served with pride as an Illinois 
10State Trooper; he had just completed a temporary assignment in 
11the state police air operations and was recently assigned to 
12District 15, which covers the tollways; as a cadet, he was 
13awarded the Lifesaving Medal in October of 2008 for his actions 
14in saving the life of a woman in a motorcycle accident; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, James Sauter was a member of the Illinois 
16Fraternal Order of Police; and

  
 
17    WHEREAS, James Sauter was the beloved husband of Elizabeth; 
18the son of Donald and Eileen; the brother of Matthew; the 
19grandson of Mary Lou Sauter; the son-in-law of Robert and 
20Christine Cowan; the brother-in-law of Rebecca (Anthony) 
21Ferraro; and the nephew of Kathleen (Gary) Stevens, Patricia

1Duffin, Maureen (Robert) Curran, and Anne (Paul) Oles; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of 
6James Michael Sauter; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of James Sauter as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
