| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kim Commack on her |
| 4 | | retirement as a Safe School Teacher, Center for Education |
| 5 | | Opportunity, Madison County Regional Safe School Program; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Kim Commack began her education career as a safe |
| 7 | | school teacher in 1979 and has spent all of her 34 years in |
| 8 | | education at the regional safe school in Madison County; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Kim Commack taught thousands of at-risk youth |
| 10 | | language art skills and served as a program coordinator to |
| 11 | | educate thousands of young people so that they could become |
| 12 | | productive members of society; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Kim Commack received her bachelor of science |
| 14 | | degree from Southwest Missouri State University in |
| 15 | | Springfield, Missouri, in 1977 and her master of science degree |
| 16 | | in special education from Southern Illinois University at |
| 17 | | Edwardsville in 1986; she obtained her National Council for |
| 18 | | Therapeutic Recreation Certification as a Therapeutic |
| 19 | | Recreation Specialist in December 1989; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Kim Commack will be retiring to spend more time |
| 21 | | with her children, Emily, Nathan, and Leah; her husband, Tom; |
