HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Fenwick High 
4School Friars' baseball coach Dave Hogan on reaching the 
5milestone of 700 career victories; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dave Hogan's 700th victory came in the Friars' 9-7 
7come-from-behind-victory over Loyola on April 21, 2013; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Dave Hogan has a career record of 700-366-3 in his 
933 years at the helm of the Fenwick Friars; he is tied for 12th 
10all-time in victories among Illinois high school baseball 
11coaches; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Among Dave Hogan's achievements, he has coached 
13the Friars to 11 Catholic League championships, 11 regional 
14titles, 4 sectional championships, and the Friars were 
15runner-up in the 2007 Summer League Tournament; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dave Hogan was inducted into the Illinois High 
17School Association Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000, the Chicago 
18Catholic League Hall of Fame in 2008, and Iowa Western 
19College's Hall of Fame in 1999; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Dave Hogan has coached 21 all-staters and 16 of

1his players have signed pro contracts; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate Fenwick High School Friars' baseball coach Dave 
5Hogan on achieving his 700th career victory and wish him many 
6more wins; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Dave Hogan as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
