HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jeffrey 
4"Jeff" Hofmann of Springfield, who passed away on April 17, 
52013; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann was born on June 24, 1952, in Saint 
7Louis, Missouri,  to Frank and Maureen Hofmann; he married Mary 
8Supranowich on June 9, 1978, in Saint Louis; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann earned his bachelor's degree in 
10communications from the University of Missouri in Saint Louis 
11and began his broadcasting career in Cape Girardeau, Missouri; 
12he worked in the Belleville area before moving to Springfield 
13in 1981 and worked for 1450 WCVS until 1990; he worked for 
14United Cerebral Palsy Land of Lincoln for a number of years 
15before returning to Sports Radio 1450, and had been with them 
16since 1998; and
  
 
  
17    WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann served as news director and was a 
18part of the "AM Springfield" program at Sport Radio 1450; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann was preceded in death by his father; 
20and

1    WHEREAS, Jeff Hofmann is survived by his wife, Mary; his 
2daughter, Kate Hofmann; his mother, Maureen Hofmann; his 
3siblings, Karen (Frank) Judge, Kathy (Frank) Burson, Jim 
4Hofmann, and Jack (Mary) Hofmann; his brothers-in-law, Ken 
5Supranowich and Tim (Donna) Supranowich; his sisters-in-law, 
6Barb Shreckengost and Ann (Bob) Canavan; and numerous nephews 
7and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we mourn the passing of Jeff Hofmann, and extend our sincere 
11condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
12him; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Jeff Hofmann as an expression of our 
15deepest sympathy.
