HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mary L. Webb as she 
4retires from the Hazel Crest School District after 38 years of 
5service; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Mary Webb began working for the Hazel Crest School 
7District 152 1/2 in August of 1975 as the General Business 
8Clerk; she was the first African American female to be hired in 
9the district office; she eventually moved to a position as 
10Building Secretary at Woodland Elementary School; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, After a brief stint at Warren Palm, Mary Webb 
12returned to Woodland Elementary and finished her career at the 
13school; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Mary Webb's children Tyrone, Andre, and LaKeya are 
15all graduates of the Hazel Crest School District; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Mary Webb is planning on spending her retirement 
17with her children, her 6 grandchildren, and her husband; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Mary Webb's retirement will be official on May 28, 
192013; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Mary Webb on her retirement, thank her for her 
4service to the Hazel Crest School District, and wish her all 
5the best with her future endeavours; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Mary Webb as an expression of our esteem and 
8respect.
