HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of 
4A.G.S. Final Call on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of 
5their initiation into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through 
6the Eta Tau Chapter seated at Illinois State University, which 
7occurred on May 3, 1990; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The members of A.G.S. Final Call include Bernard 
9Boston, Maurice Muhammed, Rodney D. Caffey, Sam Hall, Mike 
10Buie, Elgie R. Sims, Jr., Leon J. Hendricks, and John "Scotty" 
11Sargent; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The members of A.G.S. Final Call have had a 
13positive impact on the Illinois State
University and Illinois 
14Wesleyan University communities as student leaders and 
15advocates, which included several members being leaders in 
16student government, student officers, and officers of Eta Tau 
17Chapter; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, The members of A.G.S. Final Call went on to 
19graduate from Illinois State University or Illinois Wesleyan 
20University following their time as successful members of the 
21Eta Tau Chapter; and

1    WHEREAS, After leaving college, the members of A.G.S. Final 
2Call went on to successful careers in law, business, 
3government, education, finance, and communications, as well as 
4becoming active in their churches and civic organizations, 
5whose mission is to positively impact the community; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The true impact of the members of A.G.S. Final 
7Call have been as husbands and fathers, working to raise 
8families who will continue to positively impact our 
9communities; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
12we congratulate the members of A.G.S. Final Call on the 
13occasion of the 23rd anniversary of their initiation into the 
14Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, through the Eta Tau Chapter; 
15and be it further
  
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to the members of A.G.S. Final Call as an expression 
18of our esteem and respect.
