HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to honor Rev. Henry Roso for his many years of service to the people of the Village of Bradley; and

WHEREAS, In February of 2002, Rev. Henry Roso was appointed to the newly established, volunteer Bradley Police Chaplain program by then-Chief Donald Kufner in an effort to assist department members with stressful situations and to serve as a resource to counsel and help victims of crime and tragedies; and

WHEREAS, Since 2002, Rev. Henry Roso has expanded his services to the Bradley Fire Department, the Bourbonnais Fire Protection District, the Kankakee County Coroner's Office, MABAS Division 7, and all public safety agencies within Kankakee County; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his work as chaplain, Rev. Henry Roso has served as Vice-President of the Evangelical Church Alliance and as Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Kankakee; he has also served on the Kankakee County Victims Assistance board, established the local chaplains program, and assisted with numerous community events; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Henry Roso is well known and regarded throughout the Bradley community and beyond for the counsel, prayers, and support he has rendered countless people in need; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Henry Roso and his family are moving to South Dakota at the end of May 2013; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we honor Rev. Henry Roso for his many years of service to the people of the Village of Bradley and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Rev. Henry Roso as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
