HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ruchell 
4Hill of Ripley, Mississippi, who passed away on May 4, 2013; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Ruchell Hill was born on December 1, 1943, in 
7Myrtle, Mississippi, to Wilbo and Junie Bell Booth; she married 
8Luther Hill; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Ruchell Hill was baptized at Beulah Hill Baptist 
10Church; she later joined Antioch Baptist Church in Blue 
11Mountain, Mississippi, where she served on the Hospitality Team 
12for many years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Ruchell Hill was a homemaker and loved cooking and 
14taking care of others; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Ruchell Hill was preceded in death by her parents; 
16her husband of 37 years, Luther; her brother, James Booth; and 
17her stepsons, Luther M. Hill, Thomas L. Hill, and Robert J. 
18Hill; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Ruchell Hill is survived by her twin brother, 
20Rudolph (Yvonne) Booth; her stepson, Arthur F. (Lorene) Hill;

1her stepdaughter, Dorothy (Rev. Lonnie) Sanders; her 
2stepdaughter-in-law, Eunice Hill; and a host of 
3great-grandchildren, great-grandnieces and nephews, her niece, 
4and cousins that loved her and will miss her dearly; therefore, 
5be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we mourn the passing of Ruchell Hill, and extend our sincere 
9condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
10her; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Ruchell Hill as an expression of our 
13deepest sympathy.
