| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of DeShamone |
| 4 | | McCarty of Maywood, who passed away on May 15, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, DeShamone McCarty played track, football, and |
| 6 | | basketball at Proviso East High School; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, DeShamone McCarty attended Dakota College in |
| 8 | | Bottineau, North Dakota, where he continued to play football |
| 9 | | and basketball; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Nicknamed "Spuddy", DeShamone McCarty was admired |
| 11 | | by his fellow teammates and coaches and called the "MVP" of his |
| 12 | | high school basketball team due to his work ethic; therefore, |
| 13 | | be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 15 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 16 | | we mourn the passing of DeShamone McCarty, and extend our |
| 17 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew |
| 18 | | and loved him; and be it further

| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to the family of DeShamone McCarty as an expression |
