| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Jewish B2B |
| 4 | | Networking Organization for its continued service to the
small |
| 5 | | business community; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Small businesses represent 99.7% of all employer |
| 7 | | firms in the United States, employ just over half of all |
| 8 | | private sector employees, and pay 44% of the total U.S. private |
| 9 | | payroll; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Unemployment currently averages 7.5%, |
| 11 | | representing over 11 million Americans that are out of work and |
| 12 | | are seeking work; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jewish B2B Networking, under the direction of Mr. |
| 14 | | Shalom Klein, was founded in June of 2010 to connect and |
| 15 | | empower small businesses, service the needs of individuals in |
| 16 | | transition, and develop programming that has successfully |
| 17 | | brought together thousands of individuals; Jewish B2B |
| 18 | | Networking has put 315 people to work in this tough economic |
| 19 | | climate; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Over 8,000 people have participated in networking |
| 21 | | sessions, educational programming, and other services through |
|

| 1 | | Jewish B2B Networking; the organization is currently assisting |
| 2 | | almost 1,300 job seekers in updating their resumes; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, The State of Illinois remains committed to |
| 4 | | economic development, bringing new businesses to our State, and |
| 5 | | creating an environment that is friendly to small businesses, |
| 6 | | which make up 98% of Illinois employers; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, 5,000 business networkers are expected to attend |
| 8 | | Jewish B2B Networking's free business and employment expo, The |
| 9 | | Business Event, which will be held on June 20, 2013 in |
| 10 | | Evanston; the event is dedicated to assisting small business |
| 11 | | owners and job seekers; therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 13 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 14 | | we congratulate the members of the Jewish B2B Networking |
| 15 | | Organization and commend them for the excellence they have |
| 16 | | achieved; and be it further

| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 | | presented to Mr. Shalom Klein, Director of the Jewish B2B |
| 19 | | Networking Organization, as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
