HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of  FBI 
4Special Agent Christopher W. Lorek of Glen Allen, Virginia, who 
5passed away during a training exercise on May 17, 2013; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek graduated from Glenbard South 
7High School in Glen Ellyn in 1989; he subsequently earned a 
8degree in ocean engineering from Texas A&M University in 1993; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek served as a Special Agent with 
11the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he worked since 
121996; he was serving as a Special Operator on the Hostage 
13Rescue Team of the Critical Incident Response Group in 
14Quantico, Virginia at the time of his passing; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek was a member of the Three Chopt 
16Church of Christ in Richmond, Virginia; and

  
 
17    WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek is survived by his wife, 
18Jennifer; his daughters, Abigail and Madeline; his parents, 
19William and Janet Lorek; and his brother, Jason Lorek;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of FBI 
4Special Agent Christopher W. Lorek; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Christopher Lorek as an expression 
7of our sympathy.
