HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Family Focus of Aurora on 
4the occasion of the  organization's 30th anniversary in 2013; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Family Focus has served the Aurora area since 
71983; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The mission of Family Focus is to promote the 
9wellbeing of children from birth by supporting and 
10strengthening their families in and within their communities; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Family Focus has formed many lasting partnerships 
13with other community-based organizations including the 
14Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, World 
15Relief, Community Health partnership, Companeros en Salud, 
16VNA, Community Christian Church, The Ounce of Prevention Fund, 
17Communities in Schools, Waubonsee Community College, Aurora 
18University, Northern Illinois University, North Central 
19College, Northeastern Illinois University-El Centro, EASD131, 
20WASD131, Mutual Grounds, Two Rivers Head Start, and others; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Through these various partnerships Family Focus

1has dramatically improved the life of children in Aurora; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, An event celebrating the 30th anniversary of 
3Family Focus's founding will be held on July 19, 2013, at West 
4Aurora High School; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we congratulate the members of Family Focus of Aurora on the 
8occasion of the organization's 30th anniversary and we thank 
9them for their dedicated service to their community and wish 
10them well in the future; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Family Focus of Aurora as an
expression of our 
13esteem and respect.
