HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Evan Sink of Mulkeytown, who passed away on June 20, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Evan Sink was born on January 16, 1956, in Du Quoin; his parents were Albert "Cabe" Sink and Nettie Sink; he married Gayla Sink on January 2, 1977; and

WHEREAS, Evan Sink was a graduate of Sesser-Valier High School; following his retirement from the coal industry, he was employed in the area of traffic safety with the Illinois Department of Transportation; and

WHEREAS, Evan Sink was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church and the Sesser Masonic Lodge; and

WHEREAS, Evan Sink enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, hunting, and fishing; and

WHEREAS, Evan Sink was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in law, Gene and Elnora Jones; his brother, Dennis Sink; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Arflack and Kent Batson; and

WHEREAS, Evan Sink is survived by his wife, Gayla; his children, Amy and Mike Johnson, Vanessa Sink, David and Audra Bates, and Scott and Kim Bates; his grandchildren, Jade Bates, Peyton Bates, Asher Bates, Deryck Bates, Ryleigh Bates, Hunter Johnson, C.J. Johnson, and Micah Johnson; his brother, Gilbert (Carol) Sink; his sisters, Joyce (Jim) Thompson, Betty Arflack, and Susan (Jim) Mondino; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rita and Dwight Hitt and Larry and Vicky Jones; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Evan Sink; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Evan Sink as an expression of our sympathy.
