| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Myron |
| 4 | | "My-My" Colvin of Chicago, brother of former State |
| 5 | | Representative Marlow H. Colvin, who passed away on July 16, |
| 6 | | 2013; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Myron Colvin was born in Chicago on April 20, |
| 8 | | 1967, to Mose and Catherine Colvin; he attended Lindblom Math |
| 9 | | and Science Academy and DePaul University; he married LaShon |
| 10 | | De'Fell on December 29, 2006; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Myron Colvin worked within several Cook County |
| 12 | | administrative offices for many years and, most recently, he |
| 13 | | was employed by Northwest University; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Myron Colvin had a passion for the arts, |
| 15 | | especially music; he wrote short stories, plays, and kept a |
| 16 | | journal throughout his life; he enjoyed drawing, photo editing, |
| 17 | | and scrap-booking; he will be remembered as a man who had a |
| 18 | | heart of gold with bold courage; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Myron Colvin was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 20 | | and
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Myron Colvin is survived by his children, Morgan, |
| 2 | | Destinee, Deja, and Johnny; his sisters, Sharon (Keith) Maul, |
| 3 | | Karon (Ernest) Hamilton, and Kimberly Colvin; his brothers, |
| 4 | | former State Representative Marlow (Carmen) Colvin and Milton |
| 5 | | (Kimberly) Colvin; his nieces and nephews, Christopher, |
| 6 | | Whitney, Kimberly, Michael, Miles, and Mason; his |
| 7 | | great-nephew, Mathew Colvin; his aunts, Laura Price, Katie |
| 8 | | Garrett, and Hortense Stinson; his uncle, Harrison Dejornett; |
| 9 | | and a host of cousins and friends; therefore, be it
|
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 11 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 12 | | we mourn the passing of Myron "My-My" Colvin, and extend our |
| 13 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew |
| 14 | | and loved him; and be it further

| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 16 | | presented to the family of Myron Colvin as an expression of our |
