HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  Peter P. Chiodo on the 
4occasion of achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Peter Chiodo is a member of Boy Scout Troop 194 of 
6the Northwest Suburban Council; he joined the Scouts during 3rd 
7grade in elementary school and rose through the ranks with 
8great enthusiasm, striving to reach the rank of Eagle Scout; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, When choosing his Eagle Scout project, Peter 
11Chiodo sought to help the environment, in furtherance of his 
12goal of becoming an engineer; as such, he chose to recycle 
13electronics, items that landfills no longer accept, and created 
14a one-day recycling event, during which he received 12 pallet 
15loads weighing over 15,000 pounds; for his efforts, he raised 
16$150, which he donated to the Church of the Holy Spirit for its 
17food pantry; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, After Peter Chiodo completed his service project 
19and the Boy Scout Board of Review, and committee members 
20submitted his Eagle project to the Boy Scouts of America in 
21Texas, the rank of Eagle Scout was bestowed upon Peter Chiodo 
22by the Boy Scouts of America at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor

1in May of 2013; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate Peter P. Chiodo on the occasion of achieving 
5the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success 
6and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Peter Chiodo as a symbol of our esteem and 
9respect.
