HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate William Colbrook 
4on the occasion of his retirement from the Illinois State 
5Police; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, William Colbrook was appointed to Illinois State 
7Police Cadet Class #82 on September 21, 1987 and received his 
8first assignment as a patrol trooper to District 6 on February 
95, 1988; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, William Colbrook transferred to the Operations 
11Services Command, Intelligence Bureau in November 1996 and then 
12to the Director's office, Inspection and Audits in May 1997; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, William Colbrook was promoted to Sergeant on 
15November 30, 1997 and to Master Sergeant on December 4, 1998; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, William Colbrook transferred to the Medicaid 
18Fraud Control Unit  in July 1999, to the Division of 
19Administration Human Resources Bureau in November 2002, and to 
20the Fiscal Management Bureau in March 2006; and

1    WHEREAS, William Colbrook was promoted to Lieutenant on 
2September 16, 2009 and transferred back to the Medicaid Fraud 
3Control Unit; he transferred to the Director's office Chief of 
4the Equal Employment Opportunity Office in June 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Colbrook was promoted to Captain as 
6Commander of District 6 and District 8 on April 16, 2012; he 
7will officially retire on October 31, 2013; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate William Colbrook on his retirement from the 
11Illinois State Police and wish him the best in all his future 
12endeavors; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to William Colbrook as an expression of our esteem 
15and respect.
