HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The 956th Movement Control Team, United States 
3Army Reserve, Fort Sheridan, Illinois was deployed to Iraq in 
42004 and served with honor and distinction, earning  a 
5Presidential Meritorious Unit Citation; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The 956th Movement Control Team is mobilizing on 
7November 15, 2013 in order to conduct pre-deployment training 
8at Fort Hood, Texas for 45 days; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The 956th Movement Control Team will then be 
10deployed to Afghanistan in December 2013 to conduct air, 
11ground, and host nation truck movement control of equipment and 
12sustainment supplies in order to expedite, coordinate, and 
13monitor traffic throughout the Afghanistan Area of 
14Responsibility; therefore, be it
  
 


  
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
16NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
17we recognize the dedication and service of the citizen-soldiers 
18of the 956th Movement Control Team and support and honor the 
19families of the deploying soldiers; and be it further
  
 
20    RESOLVED, That November 15, 2013 is designated 956th

1Movement Control Team Day throughout the State of Illinois; and 
2be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the 956th Movement Control Team as an expression 
5of our esteem and respect.
