HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Hinsdale 
4Central High School girls varsity soccer team, the Red Devils, 
5on winning the 2013 regional championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Red Devils  defeated Wheaton North, 2 
7to one, to win the regional championship; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Alison Cerny  scored the winning goal with less 
9than 2 minutes remaining in second-half regulation time; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The Red Devils compiled an 18-4-3 regular season 
11record during their march to the playoffs; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The Red Devils are Katy Coseglia, Riley Glenn, 
13Alison Cerny, Caitlin Smith (captain), Casey May, Jenn Jarmy 
14(captain), Madeline Engelking, Christa Kuhlman, Danielle 
15Shayani, Lauren Zapka, Darby Moran (captain), Erin Smith, Abby 
16Gurka, Jenny Saviski, Kaitlyn Livingston, Meghan Schick, 
17Katherine Treankler, Lily Chetosky, Emily LaRocque, and Katie 
18Camden; the managers are Emily Morris and Sarah Trach; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, The Red Devils are coached by head coach Michael 
20M. Smith and assistant coaches Brian Drelicharz, Harrison Bull,

1Alex Hipskind, Ed Lynch, and Mike Wiggins; and
 
2    WHEREAS, The Red Devils will have many key players 
3returning for the 2014 season and envision many more successful 
4years in their future; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we congratulate the Hinsdale Central High School girls soccer 
8team, the Red Devils, on winning the 2013 regional 
9championship; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the Hinsdale Red Devils as an expression of our 
12esteem and respect.
