HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the members of the 2013 Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd 9-10 year old All-Star team on their admirable performance during the 2013 Little League tournament; and

WHEREAS, The Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd All-Star team consists of players from Spring Valley, Dalzell, Hollowayville, and Ladd; and

WHEREAS, The 2013 Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd All-Stars scored 16 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to win 22-21 in the District #20 American Division Sub-District championship game; and

WHEREAS, The 2013 Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd All-Stars won the Illinois District #20 Championship series in 2 games by the scores of 10-1 and 3-1 to advance to the Little League sectional tournament at District #5 in Moline; and

WHEREAS, After losing their first game in the Sectional tournament, the 2013 Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd All-Stars fought their way back to the championship game, only to fall short in the end; and

WHEREAS, The members of the 2013 Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd All-Stars are Brayden Bickett, Dalton Brust, Donavan Cotton, Carter Devert, Logan Griggs, Nathanial Mrowicki, Noah Pinter, Payton Plym, Nate Potthoff, Grant Resetich, Alec Vecchia, Cole Wozniak, and Logan Zeglis; the team's manager is Dean Devert and the coaches are Jennifer Plym, Craig Castaneda, and Kim Resetich; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the 2013 Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd 9-10 year old All-Star team on their admirable performance during the 2013 Little League tournament and wish them success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the 2013 Spring Valley DePue/Dalzell Ladd All-Stars as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
