HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Clarence 
4Todd Taylor of Champaign, who passed away on October 30, 2013; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Todd Taylor was the accompanist for the Urbana 
7High School choir and was a well-known gospel musician in the 
8community; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Todd Taylor was a master of music and could listen 
10to any song and play it back, whether it was classical, jazz, 
11or gospel; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Todd Taylor directed the choir that sang at the 
13local Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration each year and played 
14for the Black Chorus at the University of Illinois; he also 
15served Salem Baptist Church and Church of the Living God, both 
16of Champaign; he also worked with several other churches and 
17church groups; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Todd Taylor was able to make any student feel 
19special, even those who may not have felt included in other 
20parts of high school or who had special needs; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn the passing of Clarence Todd Taylor and extend our 
4sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew 
5and loved him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Todd Taylor as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
