HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Christian Reid Mack on the 
4occasion of achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Christian Mack is a resident of Round Lake, 
6Illinois and is currently in 8th grade at St. Gilbert School in 
7Grayslake; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Christian Mack joined the Cub Scouts upon entering 
9the 1st grade and earned the highest rank in Cub Scouts, the 
10Arrow of Life, on January 21, 2011; he joined Boy Scout Troop 
1196 on in February of 2011 and advanced to the ranks of 
12Tenderfoot on July 25, 2011, Second Class on August 1, 2011, 
13and First Class on August 29, 2011; after reaching the rank of 
14Star Scout on July 2, 2012, he continued his journey by earning 
15the rank of Life Scout on January 7, 2013; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, As a Life Scout, Christian Mack started his Eagle 
17Project, where he supported the Equestrian Connection's 
18mission to help those with special needs connect with horses; 
19and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout was bestowed upon 
21Christian Mack by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of Honor

1ceremony on December 12, 2013; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Christian Mack has earned 25 Merit Badges; he is a 
3member of Order of the Arrow and Brotherhood and has served as 
4a Troop 96 Order of the Arrow representative and as Den Chief 
5for Pack 627; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Christian Mack has been the recipient of 3 
7Catholic religious emblem awards, the Light of Christ, Par Vuli 
8Dei, and Ad Altare Dei; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Christian Mack serves as a model of hard work, 
10integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
11Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
13NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
14we congratulate Christian Reid Mack on the occasion of 
15achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him 
16continued success and happiness in the future; and be it

18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19presented to Christian Mack as a symbol of our esteem and 
20respect.
