HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dr. Tracey Cook on 
4being named Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3873 Outstanding 
5Citizenship Educator of the Year; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook has a passion for teaching and has 
7been with Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville since 1999 as 
8a social studies teacher; she enthusiastically leads high 
9students through courses in world history, American studies, 
10United States history, and military history; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook earned her master's degree in 
12education from Northern Illinois University in 2004 and her 
13doctorate degree in curriculum leadership in 2013; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook lives in Lisle with her husband, 
15Donald, and they have 2 children; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dr. Tracey Cook will now compete at the State 
17level with the Illinois winner being announced in Springfield 
18on February 8, 2014 at the annual Voice of Democracy banquet; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we congratulate Dr. Tracey Cook on being named Veterans of 
3Foreign Wars Post 3873 Outstanding Citizenship Educator of the 
4Year; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Dr. Tracey Cook as an expression of our esteem and 
7respect.
