| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The Auditor General audits State agencies on a |
| 3 | | regular basis, publishes the audit findings, and makes these |
| 4 | | findings available on the Auditor General's website; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Each agency is required to submit the most recent |
| 6 | | audit in its budget submissions to each caucus' appropriations |
| 7 | | staff; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, The "budgeting for results" process was |
| 9 | | established to set standards and goals for agencies to achieve; |
| 10 | | and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Audit findings are an indicator as to how an |
| 12 | | agency is performing, as well as if the agency is properly |
| 13 | | utilizing the appropriations granted by the General Assembly; |
| 14 | | therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 | | we urge all of the appropriation committees of the Illinois |
| 18 | | House of Representatives to take audit findings into |
| 19 | | consideration during the budgeting process; and be it further
