7 | | to reduce the risk of injury, whether in everyday activities or |
8 | | sports; and

9 | | WHEREAS, Active lifestyles and preventive medicine are |
10 | | integral parts of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care |
11 | | Act; and

12 | | WHEREAS, There is a rising demand for such services; |
13 | | employment of physical therapists is expected to grow by 39% in |
14 | | the next 10 years, resulting in the need for over 70,000 more |
15 | | physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to |
16 | | provide care; and

17 | | WHEREAS, Young adults are seeking opportunities to explore |
18 | | careers in a growing health care profession; therefore, be it
