HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy 
4Marie Blechle of Carbondale, who passed away on February 18, 
52014; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle was born in Perryville, Missouri on 
7March 25, 1970 to Robert J. and Georgia Fay (nee Henderson) 
8Blechle; she graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School in 
9Perryville, Missouri in 1988; she earned her Bachelor of 
10Science in Education from Southeast Missouri State University 
11in 1993 and her Masters of Natural Science in 2000; she 
12received her Ph.D. in 2007 from Southern Illinois University at 
13Carbondale (SIUC); and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle worked as an educator at 
15Pinckneyville Community High School; in 2003, she received the 
16Graduate Assistant Outstanding Teaching Award for the College 
17of Education and Human Services at SIUC; in 2008, she was a 
18Coca-Cola Scholar Educator of Distinction, and in 2012, she 
19received KFVS Heartland's Best Teacher Award; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycle 
21riding, camping, traveling, glass bead making, reading, and 
22laughing; and

1    WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle was preceded in death by her father; 
2and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Nancy Blechle is survived by her mother; her 
4partner, Ellen Suzanne Smothers; her sisters, Debra Kay (Allan) 
5Quamen and Connie Ann (Norman) Lambert; and several nieces and 
6nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we mourn the passing of Nancy Marie Blechle, and extend our 
10sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew 
11and loved her; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Nancy Blechle as an expression of 
14our deepest sympathy.
