HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to recognize Fred Faulstich for his 
4community service and congratulate him on his induction into 
5the Vermilion Advantage Hall of Fame; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Fred Faulstich and his family are a mainstay of 
7the community; Fred and his brother Bill, along with  their 
8cousin, Con Bateman, continue to operate Faulstich Printing - 
982 years after its founding by their father; Faulstich Printing 
10opens its doors to area schools for tours for those interested 
11in learning about the printing world, and the company is always 
12one of the first to respond when asked to help with community 
13events; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The Faulstich family has a team of skilled 
15professionals working for them at Faulstich Printing and value 
16them greatly; they have not laid anyone off in the 82-year 
17history of the company; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Fred Faulstich continues to work every day at his 
19business, and the rest of the time he contributes to his 
20family, his church, and his community; he makes chili every 
21year for the annual Lions Club, to which he has belonged for 
22over 50 years; he volunteers with the Boy Scouts and has

1chaired the Strong Kids campaign for the Danville YMCA, serving 
2on its board; he has also served on the Schlarman Foundation 
3Board, the Danville Area Community College Foundation Board, 
4and many others; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Fred Faulstich is at his core a  community man; his 
6family business success has been substantial and he is always 
7looking to roll that success over into a way to contribute to 
8the betterment of his community; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Fred Faulstich will be inducted into the Vermilion 
10Advantage Hall of Fame on March 16, 2014; therefore, be it
  
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
12NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
13we recognize Fred Faulstich for his  community service and 
14congratulate him on his induction into the Vermilion Advantage 
15Hall of Fame; and be it further
  
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to Fred Faulstich as an expression of our esteem and 
18respect.
