HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy 
4Cameron-Humphreys of Chicago; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys was born on December 6, 
61945 in Ramer, Alabama to the late Samuel and Mable Thomas; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys received her 
8certification as a medical transcriptionist and spent the 
9majority of her career as the Insurance Secretary for the 
10prestigious orthopedic surgeon group William J. Kane and 
11Associates; she enjoyed going to church and attended 
12Chatham-Avalon Church of Christ, where she served as a faithful 
13member under the leadership of Dr. Daniel Harrison; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys and her loving husband, 
15Lorenzie Humphreys, celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary 
16in December of 2013; after retiring, she enjoyed her life as a 
17wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys is survived by her 
19loving husband, Lorenzie; her children, Meleneal Cameron, 
20Theresa (Robert) Neal, William (Lauren) Cameron, and Shawneen 
21(Stephen) Olsen; her sisters, Gladys Thomas and Hula Bernard

1Chambers; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 
2uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we mourn the passing of Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys and extend 
7our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who 
8knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Dorothy Cameron-Humphreys as an 
11expression of our deepest sympathy.
