HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to honor Chief Scott Bettisch of Downs on 
4his work and achievements, and thank him for his service to his 
5community; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch serves with the Downs Community 
7Fire Protection District for 15 years, currently as the EMS 
8Chief; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch has worked for Lifeline Medics in 
10Bloomington for 5 years, LeRoy Ambulance Service for 5 years, 
11the McLean Fire Department as an EMT for one year, and for the 
12Hudson Fire Department as an EMT for one year; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch enjoys passing on his knowledge to 
14others; he has taught EMS classes around McLean County and at 
15Heartland Community College for 13 years; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Chief Bettisch has been involved in the saving of 
179 lives; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, A celebration and fundraising event will be held 
19for Chief Bettisch on May 22, 2014; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we honor Chief Scott Bettisch on his work and achievements, and 
4thank him for his service to his community; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Chief Bettisch as an expression of our esteem and 
7respect.
