| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine |
| 4 | | Ringa of Long Lake, who passed away on March 18, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was born on June 24, 1923 in |
| 6 | | Chicago; she was the daughter of the late William and Emelia |
| 7 | | Kleczewski (nee Klee); she grew up in Chicago, where she worked |
| 8 | | in the family bakery; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a resident of Lake Villa since |
| 10 | | 1958; she worked with her husband in the family funeral home; |
| 11 | | she later retired to Long Lake, where her family has had a home |
| 12 | | since 1925; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa was a member of Prince of Peace |
| 14 | | Church and the Long Lake Yacht Club, where she was a dedicated |
| 15 | | member of the Tuesday Tillies Ladies Group; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Lorraine Ringa enjoyed fishing, practical jokes, |
| 17 | | sunsets and sunrises, traveling, playing the accordion, and |
| 18 | | gardening; she will be fondly remembered for her |
| 19 | | resourcefulness, her collections of bottle openers and hats, |
| 20 | | and her fierce independence; and
|
