HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that honor and respect is 
3paid to those individuals who gave their lives in service to 
4the State; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
6Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of James P. 
7Morrissy of Oak Forest; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, James Morrissy was a resident of Oak Forest and 
9served as a police officer for more than 30 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, James Morrissy was the first officer from the Oak 
11Forest Police Department to die in the line-of-duty; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, James Morrissy was the beloved husband of Janice 
13(nee Loughery); the loving father of Kyle, Marc, and Jake 
14Morrissy; the devoted son of the late John E. and Eunice (nee 
15Risku); the fond brother of Michael (Maureen), Colleen, Sean 
16(Cathy) Morrissy, and the late Donald (Deborah) Morrissy; and 
17the kind uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we mourn the passing of James P. Morrissy, and extend our 
2sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew 
3and loved him; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of James Morrissy as an expression of 
6our deepest sympathy.
