HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Julissa 
4Alvarez, who passed away on March 28, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Julissa Alvarez was born in Berwyn on February 24, 
62000 to Rodolfo Alvarez and Ana Hernandez; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Julissa Alvarez enjoyed school from the time she 
8was first enrolled and was on the honor role for most of her 
9school years; she dreamed of one day becoming  a marine 
10biologist and working with sea animals at zoos and theme parks; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Julissa Alvarez had many great experiences from 
13going to places such as Disney World with her parents to taking 
14part in a fashion show on national TV; she loved soccer and 
15often could be found kicking the ball around the house; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Julissa Alvarez found inspiration and hope in the 
17experiences of President Obama being the first African American 
18President; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Julissa Alvarez  has 2 sisters, Liliana and 
20Abigail, and on her father's side, a step-sister, Alyna, and a

1step-brother, Joshua; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we mourn the passing of Julissa Alvarez, and extend our sincere 
5condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
6her; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Julissa Alvarez as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
