HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Hickory Hills Police 
4Department Officer Scott Sodaro on his heroic acts that saved 
5the life of Cosette Ordway; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Officer Scott Sodaro's efforts on January 21, 2014 
7contributed to the locating of 2 individuals, a male adult and 
8his 2-year-old daughter, who were reported as 
9"Missing/Endangered"; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Information acquired from AT&T during the search 
11regarding the location of the cell phone belonging to the male 
12adult, along with coordinating response efforts with the West 
13Des Moines Police Department, resulted in Cosette being found 
14and rescued; and
  
 

  
15    WHEREAS, Sgt. Charles Hobart, Officer Mark Benaitis, and 
16dispatcher Rocco Marciano all contributed to the search and 
17rescue of  Cosette; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Although injured, Cosette recovered and acts and 
19appears like any other 2-year-old girl; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we recognize Hickory Hills Police Department Officer Scott 
3Sodaro on his heroic acts that saved the life of little 
4Cosette; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Officer Scott Sodaro as an expression of our 
7esteem and respect.
