HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Fred 
4Lumpkin of Maywood, who passed away on March 15, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin was born in Hollandale, Mississippi, 
6where he attended school through high school, and  he served in 
7the United States Army for 4 years; he married Lillian Lumpkin 
8and was a Maywood resident for over 65 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin worked at Bachalls Cleaners in 
10Maywood for over 35 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin enjoyed spending time with family and 
12friends; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin was preceded in death by his wife, 
14and by 4 siblings; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Fred Lumpkin is survived by 3 siblings, David and 
16Roosevelt Lumpkin and Barbara Simmons; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
19we mourn the passing of Fred Lumpkin, and extend our sincere

1condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
2him; and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Fred Lumpkin as an expression of our
