HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mark Ziemnik on the 
4occasion of his retirement as Division Chief with the 
5Naperville Fire Department; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Mark Ziemnik has served with the Naperville Fire 
7Department for over 33 years; he started as a Paid on Call on 
8July 9, 1980; he became  a Civilian Paramedic on May 7, 1985 and 
9a Firefighter/Paramedic on December 1, 1986; he was promoted to 
10Lieutenant on January 19, 1992, to Captain on May 1, 1988, and 
11to Division Chief on January 24, 2011; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Mark Ziemnik was named the Exchange Club of 
13Naperville Firefighter of the Year in 2001; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Mark Ziemnik's family has a long history of fire 
15service in the Chicago area and firefighting is in his blood; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Mark Ziemnik resides in Oswego with his wife, 
18Laurie, and they have 4 children, Jeffrey, Elizabeth, Katie, 
19and Andrew; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, A retirement celebration in Mark Ziemnik's honor

1will be held on May 2, 2014 at the Naperville Fire Department's 
2Fire Station 7 - Apparatus Bays; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate Mark Ziemnik on the occasion of his retirement 
6as Division Chief with the Naperville Fire Department and wish 
7him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Mark Ziemnik as an expression of our esteem and 
10respect.
