HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois was formed 
350 years ago to support the families and children of Illinois; 
4and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois and its 
6member agencies have provided 50 years of excellent service to 
7the families and children of Illinois; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois helped 
9initiate the ground-breaking legislation to create the 
10Department of Children and Family Services; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois has been 
12instrumental in providing support for and attention to the 
13important role foster parents provide in caring for the State's 
14children; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois has served 
16as a leader in the positive development of policy and practice 
17in adoption law; and
 
18    WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois has worked 
19to promote accountability and achievement in child welfare 
20through guiding the design and implementation of performance

1contracting; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois member 
3agencies through their residential treatment, family 
4preservation, foster care, and counseling programs provide 
5more than 85% of the direct child welfare services delivered in 
6the State; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate the Child Care Association of Illinois on the 
1050th anniversary of the organization and acknowledge the work 
11and dedication of the member agencies in improving the lives of 
12children and families in Illinois; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the Child Care Association of Illinois.
