HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dr. Robert J. Lupo 
4on the occasion of his retirement as Superintendent of 
5Ridgewood High School; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Lupo has served Ridgewood High School for 24 
7years, the last 11 as Superintendent; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Dr. Lupo graduated from Ridgewood High School in 
91971; he earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from 
10Northwestern University in 1975, his master's in Literature 
11from Northeastern Illinois University in 1982, and his 
12doctorate through Northern Illinois University in 1999; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dr. Lupo taught English at Elmwood Park High 
14School from 1975 to 1979 before moving into the business world; 
15he returned to teaching English in 1990 at Ridgewood High 
16School; he moved to Curriculum/Tech Prep Director in 1996 and 
17then to Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and 
18Instruction in 1999; he became Superintendent in 2003; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Dr. Lupo is involved with numerous organizations 
20including: the Illinois Association of School Administrators, 
21the American Association of School Administrators,  LASO, DVR,

1Rotary, ONCC, the Salvation Army, and the Ridgewood High School 
2Foundation; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Dr. Lupo is an avid Chicago White Sox fan and 
4movie buff; he also enjoys fishing, eating, and music, 
5especially opera; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we congratulate Dr. Robert J. Lupo on his retirement as 
9Superintendent of Ridgewood High School, and wish him the best 
10in all his future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Dr. Lupo as an expression of our esteem and 
13respect.
