HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Judge 
4David Michael Hall of Waukegan, who passed away on May 20, 
52014; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Judge Hall began as an attorney in Waukegan in 
71976 and served as a judge for 23 years, retiring in 2012; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Judge Hall was an active YMCA Board Member, a 
9musician in the band "Target", and a member of the Waukegan 
10City Club; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Judge Hall enjoyed spending time with his family 
12in Eagle River, Wisconsin; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Judge Hall is survived by his wife, Karen (nee 
14Thorvaldsen); children, Karsten (Susan) Hall, Soren (Susan) 
15Hall, Bjorn Hall, and Anna Britt Hall; grandchildren, Addison, 
16Ella, and Avery; his parents, Albert and Katy Hall; siblings, 
17Terry Hall, Maggie Hall, and Diane Pendergast; and numerous 
18cousins, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we mourn the passing of Judge David Michael Hall, and extend 
2our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who 
3knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

6our deepest sympathy.
